Concord Engineering Group Ranked 8th Fastest Growing Company

Voorhees, NJ -- The Philadelphia Business Journal recently recognized Concord Engineering, a Voorhees-based energy-engineering firm, for nearly doubling its earnings and number of employees in a sluggish economy.

Compiled by Rowan University, the list appeared in the June 11 edition of the publication and ranked the top 25 South Jersey businesses based on their revenue growth from 2007 to 2009.

Concord Engineering Group increased revenues 98.57% from $5.9 million in 2007 to $11.8 million in 2009. The firm also hired 25 employees in 2009, which increased the firm's size from 35 to 60 workers.

Michael Fischette, who started the firm in 1989 with a start up capital of $35,000, told the Journal that helping local government entities, colleges, universities, hospitals and commercial facilities secure alternative financing to fund energy projects stimulated growth for the business during the recession.

Concord Engineering Group is a full-service design, energy engineering, and commissioning firm that specializes in energy master planning, construction management, MEP/FP engineering, energy auditing, utility infrastructure, renewable technologies (solar, wind, and landfill gas), combined heat & power, geothermal engineering, and high voltage substation design. The firm is located at 520 S. Burnt Mill Road in Voorhees. For more information, visit www.ceg-inc.net.
