Tishman Construction of NJ Appoints Director of Pre-construction

Tishman Construction Corporation of New Jersey has appointed Charles Appet as Director of Pre-construction. Mr. Appet has overall accountability for all estimates, constructability reviews, value management studies, LEED certification studies, benchmarking studies, procurement, and bids produced by the department for all projects.

Previously, as the Director of Purchasing & Estimating for Tishman, Mr. Appet was responsible for research and analysis of cost savings, purchasing and estimating.

"We are pleased to appoint Mr. Appet to this position in which, with his broad experience with all types of buildings, he will help streamline projects and manage the complexities of design and construction," said Mr. Cettina. "It is always our goal to construct an excellent building in optimum time, cost effectively, and with less anxiety for our client. Mr. Appet's skills assist us in achieving this goal."

Mr. Appet is currently working on projects throughout New Jersey and the region, and has worked on such notable projects as the New York Jets training facility in Florham Park, NJ, Xanadu in the Meadowlands, and a master plan for Novartis Pharmaceutical.

Mr. Appet earned a BS in Accounting from William Paterson University and is a member of the American Society of Professional Estimators. He resides in Hawthorne, NJ, with his wife and daughter.
