Edward M. Fleegler, M.D., FACP Joins RevolutionCare, Inc. as Senior Director of Clinical Pathways

RevolutionCare, Inc. Chairman and CEO, Calvin H. Knowlton, announced that Dr. Edward M. Fleegler will serve as the company's Senior Director for Clinical Pathways. RevolutionCare is a patient-centered healthcare company providing greater access to primary care and selective specialty care services to medically isolated people, particularly the elderly, in their place of residence.

Dr. Fleegler will develop and be responsible for the geriatric clinical content for RevolutionCare. He also will support nurse practitioner training, participate in quality improvement projects, engage community physicians in collaborative efforts and participate in clinical outcome studies.

"We are delighted Dr. Fleegler is joining RevolutionCare at such a strategic time in its development," said Knowlton. "Our overall goal is improved clinical and humanistic outcomes by deploying board certified Nurse Practitioners to care for patients in their homes and leveraging our new, mobile clinical informatics platform. Dr. Fleegler will be instrumental in helping us reach that goal."

With more than 21 years of clinical experience in private and group practices, Dr. Fleegler is board-certified in internal medicine. He also was certified in geriatrics before leaving clinical practice. From 1980-1999, Dr. Fleegler was a faculty member of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and held staff appointments at several hospitals in the Greater Philadelphia region during that time. He served as medical director for McKesson Health Solutions and AETNA in Colorado. From 2003-2008 he was medical director for Independence Blue Cross in Philadelphia. Most recently, he was medical director for Active Health Management in Greenwood Village, Colorado. Dr. Fleegler received his M.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 1977.
