PDMA Invites Business Professionals To October Panel Presentation

Philadelphia, PA - September 24, 2009 - Marketers and other business professionals from across the Delaware Valley are invited to learn how leading companies are successfully infusing "conversation" into the marketing mix at the October networking and lunch meeting hosted by the Philadelphia Direct Marketing Association

"Welcoming Social Media into Your Marketing Mix" will be presented on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in King of Prussia, PA.

Many studies tie consumer purchase influences to peer reviews and recommendations, which begs the questions: How does a company get recommended? How does a brand build influence?

For those racing to become active in the social media scene - as well as for those experimenting but eager to know more - this panel of social media pundits will help marketers navigate how and when social works, and what to expect.

Scheduled expert panelists include:

§ Brandon Baldassari, Product Marketing Specialist, Subaru of America, Inc.

§ Michael Brenner, Director of Online Marketing, SAP America

§ Michael Leis, Strategic Consultant

§ Ted Moon, Director of Online Marketing, Capital One

§ Gary Spangler, Marketing Manager, DuPont

Denise Williams, Director of Marketing at Goodman Marketing Partners, will moderate.

This PDMA-sponsored event is open to members and non-members. Registration begins at 11:30 AM at the Crowne Plaza Hotel located at 260 Mall Blvd. in King of Prussia, PA. The presentation runs from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM, followed by lunch and networking. The cost for PDMA members is $45; non-members pay $60.

The PDMA continues to make a special introductory offer to non-members. Any non-member who attends a PDMA educational event will be reimbursed the cost of the event if he or she joins the association within 30 days (a $60 value).
