The Vanguard Group Reports $387.9M Stake in Constellation Energy - cbl

MALVERN, Pa. --The Vanguard Group Inc. has marginally raised its stake in Constellation Energy (NYSE:CEG) to 5.22 percent worth $387.92 million, according to an SEC filing.
The Valley Forge, Pa.-based fund manager said it owned 10.53 million shares in the Baltimore-based power and natural gas utility, up slightly from 10.41 million, representing a 5.17 percent stake worth $396.28 million last September. The value of the current stake is based on the stock's closing price of $36.84 per share on Feb. 8.
Vanguard has about $1.4 trillion in assets under management. It has been led since 2008 by President and CEO F. William McNabb III, who became board chairman in 2010.
Constellation Energy owns a diversified fleet of generating units, totaling about 12,000 megawatts of generating capacity. The company delivers electricity and natural gas through the Baltimore Gas and Electric Company, its regulated utility in Central Maryland.
