Biggest Gainer

Wednesday's biggest gainer in Philadelphia was Healthcare Services Group Inc. (NASDAQ:HCSG), closing at $20.42 (+7.5%). Trading on volume of 1.1 million, shares changed hands at 3.2 times their three-month average volume. The Jones Group Inc. (NYSE:JNY) gained 6.6% to close at $10.17 on volume of 2.7 million, making it another big gainer for the day.

Biggest Loser

Sunoco Inc. (NYSE:SUN) closed at $40.13 (-1.2%), making it Wednesday's biggest loser. The stock traded at 0.9 times its average volume over the past three months, with three million shares changing hands. Another stock that had a bad day was Bryn Mawr Bank Corporation (NASDAQ:BMTC), as it closed at $21.19 after falling 0.5% on volume of 44,494.
