PRINCETON, NJ -- Heartland Payment Systems (NYSE: HPY), one of the nation's largest payments processors, has named Thomas McCole as executive director of affiliates. With more than 20 years of experience in mobile payment processing and management, McCole will lead Heartland's affiliate relationships with major accounts, banks, associations, VARs and more.
In addition to previously consulting with Heartland where he was responsible for, among other things, developing major account relationships with vending manufacturers, operators, and bottlers, McCole was a principal at Atomic Mobile Payments where he provided dealer/affiliate business development consulting services.
Before that, he built his extensive management experience in wireless/IP payment processing products, mobile payment processing, affiliate networking, and management with companies such as Hypercom Solutions Group, Transaction Network Services, NBS Technologies, Inc., Atomic Software, SK Technologies, Weste POS Systems and more. McCole holds a bachelor's degree from Florida Atlantic University and was a U.S. Army photographer in Germany.
"Tom completed two separate consulting roles with Heartland and through those assignments, he proved to be an invaluable asset to the organization," said Bob Carr, Heartland's chairman and chief executive officer. "With a renewed focus on affiliates, we knew Tom would be the ideal executive for this role and should excel in expanding and deepening Heartland's various affiliate relationships."
