Kennett Square, Pennsylvania -- MacElree Harvey is pleased to announce that Mary Ann Plankinton, a partner in the firm's Kennett Square and Centreville offices, has been elected to the Board of the Centreville Delaware Civic Association. She will serve as Secretary of the Association.
The Centreville Civic Association, Inc. was established in 1970 "to promote and encourage civic improvements, protect property rights and values, disseminate information and encourage community involvement." The Association states that it "is committed to preserving the heritage of the Village and surrounding environs as well as planning for the community's future."
Mary Ann has been representing individuals and families in Pennsylvania and Delaware in family law and estate planning matters for over 19 years. A trained mediator, Mary Ann mediates family law and estate matters in Pennsylvania and Delaware. She has been appointed by the Delaware Family Courts as a guardian ad litem representing children placed in foster care. She also chairs the Chester County Orphans' Court mediation committee. A member of the Pennsylvania, Delaware and Chester County Bar Associations, Mary Ann received her law degree from Widener University School of Law in 1991, and her undergraduate degree from St. Joseph's University in 1985.
